THOMAS JOSEPH BARANOWSKI
May 31, 1929 ~ January 4, 2014
Tom Baranowski, 84, passed away Jan. 4, 2014 in Vancouver, WA. He was born in Shenandoah, PA to Anthony and Kathryn Baranowski.
Tom served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and ended his working years as a loan officer for the State of Oregon, Veterans Affairs.
Tom loved his family, fishing, fuchsias, gardening and beer (and not necessarily in that order). Some of his most favorite times were working with "the boys" at the Elk bike shop, repairing and fixing up bikes for kids. He also made many of us beautiful canes and walking sticks.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy; beloved big sister, Gerts; daughters, Denise (Rick) Schacter, Edie (Victoria) and Sue; fuzzy son, Lucky; grandsons, Sam (Helena) Clowers and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Amya, Sadat and Amelia; and also special friends in his heart, the Schiefelbeins, Steve Hale, and the Noakes family.

Dot, Gerts, & family,
Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your husband,brother, father, uncle & friend....Tom was a good man. We so enjoyed our rare visits... as we would be driving north...a couple of times in Oregon, Once We had my parents Chester & Adele with us and what a fun time, laughing & telling stories, Tom had a laugh similar to his dad's (Anthony)....we remembered and told stories about Katherine & Anthony's place on the hill (Glovers Hill) the parties on the lawn under the tree. I also went fishing with Tom Once before he moved to Washington....The trains in the attic with his conductor hat.and the beautiful fuchsia's. He will be missed but not forgotten. He is in good company with our parents....Love & hugs to all. The Nielubowicz family

Kochani Braciu My "lil" brother how I do miss you the past few years during our weekly phone "visits" you always said to me "rememmber, it's you and me" and now it's just me. Dear Aunt Dottie and family,
please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss of this loving man. Even though we did not have an in person relationship, I feel I know you from the stories related to me by Aunt Gerts and my Dad Tony. It is my sincere loss that I did not get to spend time with him. It sounds like he was an amazing man. Love to you all,
