William Bittner Obituary

He died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

The widower of Dorothy Bittner, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a Bronze Star recipient.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church, Lemoyne; Lowther Manor F&AM Lodge 781, Camp Hill; Zembo Shrine; the Harrisburg Consistory; and was a former local chairman of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Local 42.

Mr. Bittner is survived by a son, William of Oscoda, Mich; two daughters, Joanne Weltmer of Cresco and Linda Zeigler of Lewisberry; two brothers, Edwin of Mechanicsburg and Clark of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions can be made to Lower Allen VFW Post 7530, 2005 Hummel Ave., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
