Madeline Karker Obituary

Madeline M. Karker died on April 12, 2009 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, Albany. She was born on August 23, 1922 in Central Bridge, NY, the daughter of Dominic and Stella (Farro) Falzarano. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger G. Karker who died on February 7, 1999. Mrs. Karker was the executive secretary for the Altamont Fair for over 30 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Altamont. She is survived by four children, Roger C. (Carol) Karker, Joan (Eric) Bratt, Jean Southwood and George M. (Gretta) Karker; sister, Minnie (Jose) Fernandez; brother, Clement (Mary) Falzarano; and cousin, Minnie Hotaling; grandmother of Jason, Jeremiah, Joshua, Adam (Maria), Ryan, Victoria and Alexandra. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be at Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY, on Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Altamont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Peter's Community Hospice, Albany or the American Cancer Society. www.FredendallFuneralHome.com
