Morris Wasserman AlbanyMorris Wasserman, age 91, of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany died on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Albany Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Mr. Wasserman has resided in the Capital District for the last four and one half years. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Schenectady. Morris was married to Beatrice Deerdock Wasserman until her passing in 2009. Father of Ellen Wolfson (Stephen) of West Palm Beach, Florida, Nancy Greene (Dr. Elliott) of Altamont, New York and Melissa Wasserman of NYC. Brother of Muriel Lodinger (Seymour) of Atlanta, Georgia. Grandfather of Jennifer Wolfson, Wendy Schwimer (Kevin), Mindy Huber (Joshua), Deborah Strosberg (Rami), Lisa Greene and Charlotte Morelli. Great-grandfather of Tani, Leor, and Eliav Strosberg and Baron Huber. Services at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home (Chapel), 180 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Abbottsford Road in Rotterdam, NY. The period of mourning will be observed at the Greene residence 730 Meadowdale Road in Altamont, NY on Tuesday following the service of interment and on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday commencing at 7 p.m. Those wishing to remember Morris in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Congregation Beth Israel, 2195 Eastern Parkway, Schenectady, NY 12309.
