To Roger's children,
I worked with your Dad for 7 years at the Hoffman Estates P.O. We were good friends. He was an excellent co-worker. He used to mind his own business and never ratted on anyone. He taught me lessons I've kept with me to this day (I still work for the post office-33 years). The last time I saw your Dad was when he retired. I found out about his passing today. I was very proud to have known him, as I'm sure are all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

Dear Kolze family,
Roger aka "Whitey" was a high school classmate of mine. While I only saw him once or twice since the 50's I have vivid memories of him. He always carried a smile, was of a gentle nature, and a great team player. Tinker Meyer and Whitey Kolze were a formidable team together. He was a good athlete and a good friend of many. I am sure he carried these great qualities into the rest of his life. I am privileged to have know him.
