Jennifer Lawrence Braverman, 67, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died on Tuesday November 15, 2016.One of four, Jennifer was raised outside of Boston, Mass., the daughter of Caroland Ellsworth Lawrence. She attended Colby Junior College and then The University of Massachusetts, and spent a year studying in England. She was a beautiful, generous and vibrant woman who excelled at painting, cartooning and diving. She was passionate about the environment and animal welfare. At the time in her life when she met Stanton Braverman, her husband of 36 years, she was being groomed to be the national manager of the Hilton restaurants. She had an eye for detail and was exceptional at making others happy, skills which she brought to her chosen career as a homemaker. When Stan's first wife passed away she devoted herself to raising her teenage stepsons along with her two children. She was an exceptionally supportive wife, a kind and loving mother, and an outstanding grandmother. Always thoughtful, funny and kind, Jennifer forged many lasting friendships throughout her life. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.Jennifer is survived by her husband, Stanton; her children, Megan and Jonathan and their spouses, Ian and Jessica; her stepson, Kenneth and his wife, Bobby-Joe; her grandchildren, Chloe, Elijah, Ethan, Nathan, and Austin; her brothers, Christopher and Sandy; her sister, Leslie; her cousins, Liz and Kathleen; and her dog, Kody. Shewas predeceased by her stepson, Daniel.A special thanks to her friends, Heidi, Janet L., Janet W., Julie G., Julie L., her neighbors, Allyson, Shirley, and Hope, and her in-laws, Susan and Sandy for their unwavering strength and support of her during her illness. Her friends made sure she was never alone.The family will hold a private service and invites friends to join them for visitation on Sunday, November 20, 2016, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Jennifer's home, 226 Douglass Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
