Joseph Martin Terry Sr. Joseph M. Terry Sr., 88, of Charlottesville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. He was born on December 6, 1925, in Gary, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy Terry. Mr. Terry served in the United States Army during World War II. He had many interests in business and was successful in all his ventures. He was loved by many family members, friends and associates. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by three daughters and one son; Dorothy Jo Rudd and her husband, Tom, of Port St. Prince, Florda, Diane Green, of Boca Raton, Florida, Bea Ann Thacker and her husband, Buddy, of Charlottesville, and Joseph M. Terry Jr. and his wife, June, also of Charlottesville. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Rachel Dea Fields, Rene A. Thacker and Frankie, Joseph M. Terry III and his wife, Roslyn, Somer Thacker, Sara Urruthia, and Ruth Berenson; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Teresa "Rosie" Frisco. A special thanks to Letitia, Cynthia, Emily and Dr. Carpenter for their love and help. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014, in the Hill and Wood Chapel, with Jason DePaul officiating.
