Dear Phyllis - I thought about you and Charles not to long ago. I was in Canton., OH visiting my daughter and was unaware of his death. I am praying for you and I have been intending to ask your daughter about you. I am praying for you and be strong. We lost Norma a year ago and it seems my family to going but I am not alone because I still have four siblings alive. Take care.

We are so very sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Allen. It was a complete shock to us once we arrived back in town. Please know that we are here for you in your time of need and may God keep you in his care during this difficult time.

Sometimes mere words just aren't enough to take away our grief, so we rely on God for help and strength in our belief. May He uplift you gently, take the sorrow that you bear, then comfort you with healing in the safety of His care.

Hymn

When storms arise
And dark'ning skies
About me threat'ning lower,
To Thee, O Lord, I raise mine eyes,
To thee my tortured sprit flies
For solace in the hour.

The mighty arm
Will let no harm
Come near me nor befall me;
Thy voice shall quiet my alarm,
When life's great battle waxeth warm --
No foeman shall appall me.

Upon thy breast
Secure I rest,
From sorrow and vexation;
No more by sinful cares oppressed,
But in thy presence ever blest,
O God of my salvation.

Paul Laurence Dunbar

Charles is resting upon the breast of God with no sinful cares. May you use this fact to comfort you during this time of sorrow. May you also use all of the wonderful times that you had with Charles to further ease your sorrow. Charles will surely be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
