Mr. Jenney attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH, spent an academic year at Bristol University, U.K. and would later attend the University of Delaware, where he received his bachelor's degree in 1978. Mr. Jenney was employed by the Chrysler Corporation and the Continental Diamond Fibre and Budd Company in Newark. He would eventually take a position with Newark Farm and Home Supply and retired in 1985.

Mr. Jenney was a longtime and active member of the Newark United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Chancel Choir and served on the Board of Trustees, the Altar Guild and the Worship Task Team. Belatedly learning of his death, I fondly recall Stephen as a comrade soldier in Korea. We fought no battles-it was before the war. Were close friends in Taegu, Korea, enjoying classical music in our spare moments, fellow squad members and corporals in anti-tank company.
he was a gentle soul-would not have done well killing North Koreans had the war begun while we were there. I trust that his life was eventful and joyful, despite its tragedies-the death of his wife so early. Peace, Steve Ernest Griffith
