Thomas Agne Obituary

DELAWARE — Thomas L. Agne, age 64, of Delaware, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on July 21, 1953 in Dayton to the late Earl and Ina (Decker) Agne. Tom was a graduate of Centerville High School in 1971 and from Miami University in 1975, earning a bachelor's degree in sports medicine.

For 25 plus years Tom served as head athletic trainer for Ohio Wesleyan University. For the past 15 years he worked with Verizon Wireless in their Hilliard business call center.

Spiritual and a member of William St. United Methodist Church, he served as a church lay member attending the West Ohio Annual Conference. He was also a proud member of Miami University Alumni.

Happy go lucky in nature, full of life and love, Tom enjoyed a passion for football, cell phones, and collecting Royal Doulton character and toby jugs. The Beatles were his favorite musical group and for whom he was an avid fan. Tom also enjoyed Ollie's Ice Cream and travel, especially to the shores of Ogunquit, Maine.

Considered the life of any party, Tom was blessed and always happy to his core. Tom will be remembered for his big heart, love of life and family, especially his beloved Cockapoo Mazie.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Hilary (JT) Bower of Delaware; son, Noah (Lauren) Agne of Avon; forever friend, Roger Higgins of Marion; siblings, Bob Agne of Dayton, Ted (Paulette) Agne of Marblehead, MA, Cinda (Jesse) Bush of Dayton, Cris (Zack) Kidwell of Xenia; nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life informal gathering will be held from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 27th at William St. United Methodist Church, 28 W. William St., Delaware, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center in Delaware.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The James Cancer Hospital, 1480 W. Lane Ave.,| Columbus, Ohio 43221.
