ISAIAS CARRILLO Obituary

Isaias B. Carrillo, 87, passed away January 19, 2011. He was born June 8, 1923 in La Joya, New Mexico and was a lifetime resident of the High Desert. Isaias proudly served his country in the Army in World War II as a Private First Class in the Medical Detachment 290 Infantry. He was involved in the first wave landing in Sicily for which he received one Arrowhead and 5 Battle Stars. Isaias continued to serve his country in the Federal Service for the Defense Logistics Agency in Barstow as a general foreman for 35 years. Isaias was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Fernandez. He is survived by his wife Dulcinea; daughters, Irene Carrillo of Corona, Marcie Vince and her husband Larry of La Palma; son Isaac Carrillo of Corona; son-in-law Gil Fernandez of Hesperia; brother Felix Carrillo of Texas; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wed. January 26, 2011, at Desert View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd, Victorville, CA, from 4:30pm to 8:30pm with a Rosary beginning at 6:30pm officiated by Deacon Santos Aguilera. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9974 "I" Avenue, Hesperia, CA at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Desert View Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
