Among her many life pursuits, Maggie Davis was retired from the real estate business. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and devoted friend to all who knew her. She was married for more than 50 years to J.M. Davis, who preceded her in death.
Maggie Parker Davis was born Aug. 3, 1911, in Hood County to Henry J. and Lula Fay Parker. Surrounded by family love, Maggie grew up with her three brothers and four sisters. She and her husband J.M. spent much of their married life in Fort Worth where she had an active career in the real estate business. They raised two children, Margie Louise Harper and J.M. Davis Jr. After retirement, they moved to a country home in Rainbow, a place where all family and friends were always greeted with great hospitality. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Maggie spent her life in blessed servitude to her Lord and Savior. Her loving, tireless spirit and her magnanimous generosity deeply touched all who knew and loved her. Her courageous character and the exemplary Christian principles by which she lived provided a profound impression upon the many lives she affected.
We salute you, Maggie, and your pioneer spirit.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by an infant son, Carlton Davis; her daughter, Margie Louise Harper; three brothers; and three sisters.
