Anne Wanzyk Obituary

Wanzyk Anne Frances Wanzyk "Annie", age 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Marion, Ohio, with her daughter by her side. Anne grew up in Danbury and attended St. Joseph School, Danbury High School and graduated from Americo Academy of Beauty. She leaves behind Frank Yang, with whom she made her home with in Mount Gilead, OH; along with her daughters, Deanne Grise and Christy Robinson, both of Danbury, CT; along with her grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob Gant. Anne is also survived by her mother, Claire Ezequelle of Danbury CT; her brothers, Dan and Mike of Brookfield CT; as well as her sister, Lori Brunelle of RI. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Anne was a free spirit and loved animals, most especially her dogs. She was a master agility trainer and took pride in her skills and talents in this sport earning many awards at dog shows and competitions. On her farm in Ohio she raised goats, sheep, and llamas and enjoyed this challenging work. She also had a special artistic skill for drawing animals and scenery freehand. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, CT. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Danbury Animal Welfare Society, 147 Grassy Plain Street, Bethel, CT 06801.
