I'm so sadded to hear of Jimmy's passing. I had met Jim many times through his dad Corky , at memorabilia shows . My thoughts and prayers to his son and family .

Jim was our next door neighbor and friend. He was always kind, generous and loved to tell a good story. He went out of his way to share his interests in sports with our two boys, giving his time and attention. Our deepest condolences to Nathan, Jim will be missed.

Jimmy is going to be missed by so many--he didn't know a stranger and was such a wonderful person. I feel blessed to have known Jimmy and am grateful for so many fond memories. My prayers go to his family and especially his son Nathan.

Jim McCorkle's passing will create emptiness that only prayer, time and our memories will fill.
Jim gave so much to so many and asked so little in return.
He had a heart of gold and was always the first to step up and offer his helping hand.
I will always remember Jim for his humor, kindness and generosity of spirit.
Many people walk in and out of our lives but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

He will be missed by many, my family in particular. He was a character in his own rite, and I'm sure that many people have fond memories and at least one "Cork" story to tell. I have always considered him to be my best friend, and my children will truly miss Uncle Jimmy.
