Survivors include wife, Joy Wentworth of Nokomis,FL; brother-in-law, Fred Day; three cousins, Nancy Cobb, Fred Hall, and David McCuvrey; two nieces, Lorena and Kelley. Ron is predeceased by parents, Wes and Stella Wentworth and cousin Donnie Hall. A Visitation will take place on Friday, July 12, from 4-6PM at Farley Funeral Home, 265 S Nokomis Ave, Venice, FL 34285. A Prayer service will be held the following day, Saturday, July 13, at Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel promptly at 11AM, followed by a procession to Venice Memorial Gardens, 1950 Center Rd, Venice, FL 34292, for a Graveside beginning at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ron's Memory to the Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge Society

Dear Joy (and everyone else who knew and loved Ron),
For some reason Ron was on my heart and mind today, after all the many years since I last saw y'all. Ron was one of my most dear friends, the best boss ever (as my supervisor at my first career job at New Hampshire Insurance), and just a generally cool, great guy. I have been on a long, interesting road since those days in the mid-80's when Ron and I would work hard and play hard.

Joy, I am so sorry to hear about Ron I
Just heard about this in the Sorrento News Letter! I used to run into him on his way To Venice when I used to walk around the neighborhood! What on earth happened? . He seemed so physical fit compared to me? I actually can't believe he's gone! My deepest sympathy to you and your family!

I just learned about Ron's passing from mutual friend Chris Hicklin. I am so deeply sorry. I so enjoyed being your neighbor in Sorrento South. I remember me always making sure Ron put up the Reindeer at Christmas time. I will come by and see you soon. My phone is 941-544-4800 if you need anything at all. I will pray for you every single day.
