David Michael Adams, 78, of Westfield, N.Y., died Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, Pa.

Born June 6, 1936, in Wilcox, Pa., he was the son of the late Francis John Adams and Lilly Prisilla Silk Adams.

David attended school in Wilcox, PA. On June 3, 1974, David was married to his wife Blanche in Erie, Pa. She precedes him in death.

David was a foreman at Hammermill International Paper Company in Erie, Pa.

He was a member of the Lakeshore Assembly of God in Westfield, N.Y. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, traveling, and helping others.

David is survived by a stepson, Theodore Kilgore of Erie, Pa.; a daughter, Melody (Mark) Girty of Summerville, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Deanna (Rex) Boozel of Westfield, N.Y.; a brother, John Adams of Kingsville, Ohio; a sister, Virginia Padasak of St. Marys, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Amy Preston of Brookville, Kira Jacoby of Summerville, Shelby Garris of Ft. Hood, Texas, Michael Boozel of New York, Alyssa Boozel of Westfield, N.Y., Krystal Boozel of Westfield, N.Y., Kristen Kilgore of Cortland, Ohio, Diana Kilgore of Bradford, Pa.; a Goddaughter Tammy Dunlop; a Godson Michael Harf of Westfield; and numerous nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 12 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 20 West Main St., Ripley, NY 14775. A dinner will follow at the church.
