Thank you "Mr Jack" for being an intricate part of my childhood, growing up on Holland St. I was in "Jack's", as we kids called French Street Dairy Store, almost everyday in the late 60s and early 70s. RIP

In 1950-51 Jack asked me if i wanted to go for a ride in his new car. i was riding in Jack's 48 Chevy down 29th towards Peach when Jack was pulled over by a cop. The cop asked him "Do you know how fast you were going? Yes, He said 78 miles per hour" The cop gave him a ticket. After the cop left he looked over at me and said "can you believe we were going 78 miles per hour? He was 20 or 21 yo. I was 7or8. I will always remember that. My thoughts are with you and your family Grant, and thoughts and prayers to Jean.

Dearest Jean, Grant, May, GT and Jamie,

How we loved Jack.! How we love all of you!

It is so special to have shared so much ".life" .with Jack and with you. The fond memories we have and hold onto are what brings us so much comfort.... having those very special memories to enjoy, laugh about and share with one another throughout a lifetime.

I have so many "Jack moments/memories" that are so fun to reflect upon... Jack loved the simple pleasures of life. I have to say that his genuine love of the simple things in life is what I loved so much about Jack, Those moments for me are so priceless. I think one of my most favorites is the trip to Houston. His love of animals superceded the happiness of many of the other outings that we planned. The trip to Galveston...feeding the birds off the Ferry while going to the Island, fishing for crabs from the ocean and cooking them....For Jack, it didn't get any better than that . He loved nature, his animals, his sports, .and especially his family.

I pray that as you go thru the days ahead, that the peace of God and the love & happiness brought thru the life shared with Jack bring you the comfort as only God can do ..thru His touch and the memories in your heart.

Jean..You know my heart, my spirit ,and my prayers are with you and the family each and everyday. I can't wait to get back there and spend time with you. As soon as I can travel... I'll be there!

How blessed we are to have been a part of your family...for sharing so many moments and laughter.....

May our Loving God always be your peace in the midst of the storm.....

We love each of you so much,

With our deepest thoughts and love,

Woody, Darlene & family

I had the pleasure of taking care of Mr. Miller while I was a nursing student from Mercyhurst North East while he was at Millcreek Community Hospital. He would love to take walks down the hall to see the baby ducks. He liked to sit in the recliners by the nurse's station and always looked forward to visits with his wife. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
