Kenneth E. Ewings Kenneth E. Ewings, age 64, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center following complications associated with lung cancer. He was Born July 4, 1940 in Warren, Pa., son of the late Thomas e. and Mary E. Meyers Ewings. He had resided in Ashtabula for many years. Prior to that he had resided in Erie, where had had attended East High School. Mr. Ewings had been employed by the former Ashland Chemical Co. in Ashtabula for many years prior to his retirement in 1991. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge in Ashtabula where he had once served in the capacity of administrator. His interests included traveling to Las Vegas, playing pool, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He was also an Elvis and NY Yankee fan. His courageous fight for life included a liver transplant 16 years ago, a kidney transplant four years ago and a brave battle fought against the lung cancer to the end. He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Widower of Patricia C. Guyoski Ewings to whom he was married 28 years. Survivors include his two daughters; Denise L. Stillwagon and husband Stephen of Jefferson, Ohio, and Donna J. Ewings of Twinsburg, Ohio, one sister; Beverly A. Vogt of Erie, his brother-in-law Richard F. Vogt, Jr. of Erie, two grandchildren; Sarah A. Stillwagon of Kingsville, Ohio, and Patrick E. Ewings of Twinsburg, Ohio, one great granddaughter, Alexis E. Powell, one aunt; Adoline Wilkins of Erie and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc. East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., an Independent Care Group affiliate on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there Thursday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James R.C.
