Alloway Rd.
Memorials to Catholic Charities Communities Services, 1099 Jay St. Bldg. J, Rochester, 14611 or to a charity of ones choice.
Barbara was born at home on August 18, 1947, town of Newburgh, daughter of Russell and Nellie Smith Ackerman. Barbara loved working for Catholic Charities Community Services, but loved working with her clients so much more. She was also an active foster parent for over 20 years.
Survived by brother, Steven Ackerman of Clyde; sister, Joan Tompkin of Schenectady; four children John J. Rudzianski Jr. (Melanie) of Kingsley Pa., William S. Rudzianski (Mary Toothaker) of S. Glens Falls, Denise D. Van Patten of Seneca Falls, Tia M. LaCroix (Ronnie) of Waterloo. She will be missed by all including eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and numerous foster children.
Predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Joseph E. Rudzianski (2012); brother, Russell Ackerman; sister, Sue Peters (husband Peeps)

This candle will glow forever for you mom Barb! Even though I was just a foster child you loved and took care of me like I was your own. Even when I messed up you continued to love me, when I had my heart broke by the guy I met at the carnival you there to pick up the pieces. In my heart there will always be a place for you. I miss and love you so very much.
