May the God of all comfort be with the family during this difficult time.

Dear Purtell and Matheis Families,
I am so sorry for your loss of Ann. The Purtells were like a second family to me when I was in college and I know your hearts are aching because you are as close knit with your siblings as I am with mine. There are no words that can comfort your loss, but speak of Ann often, even though it will make you cry for a long time to come to do so. And tell lots of stories about her when you all get together so her kids know what a loving and fun person she was even before she was a loving and fun mom to them. Thinking of all of you.
Love,
Irene (Timko) Rostas

A life well lived, although too short. Ann was an inspiration to many, always there with encouraging words. Sweet, kind, gentle and compassionate are the words that come to mind describing Ann - unless you were coaching against her. Loved her spirit. She will be missed.
