My dearest lil brother,

Time has gone by, the tears still fall, I thought with time I would be able to atleast slightly understand why. Yet I still cant. Yes I am filled with anger, you had sooo much yet to give and to fullfill here on earth and honestly so much I regret that I took for granted. I know that I must understand and I truly hope in time I will, until then, i want and hope your hear me every night, you still live within me and I strive to take the greatest lesson you will ever had taught me :Live life, and let every one know that they are loved. I apply it to my everyday life. But it get difficult at times and I wish for the your strength. I cant even express how, MUCH you are missed. Still search and search for a glimpse or sign of you, hoping to feel you near still wanting to see you and hold you, it soo hard to realize that that is not physically possible. Tavi, I wish I could hear you and feel your embrace just once more. I have seen you in my dreams and each and every time that I do your smiling, I feel you happiness and it pains me to wake up and realize that you are no where within reach. Yet I wake up with a slight sense of happiness to know that my lil brother is smiling and happy. Please watch over me and my girls, your strength and determination and love is something they will need through life. I am proud of all you have accomplished while you could and I feel now you have another set of accomplishment on heaven to carryout. Remember you big sister, for she WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!!!!. LOVE YOU ALWAYS, I MISS YOU SOOOO MUCH TAVI!!!

Dear Tavi

We hold precious memories of the times we had together as a child in the Legion of Mary, when you represented Francisco. Then all of the sudden you're getting married in Septenber, 2002. We attended your wedding, I felt so proud of you because I saw such a nice looking young men full of life and I could see how much love you had for Jennie. In 2005 when I saw a picture of you holding your son. I could see you were the proudest father and husband.

Thank you for touching my life and being such a great nephew. May you rest in peace, I know you'll live in our hearts para siempre. Que dios te bendiga. Love

My Lovable Tavi,

When my mom got that phone call and when she went to the room and made a sad and worried face, I knew something was wrong. I saw tears in her face, and she was screaming "No Lizy no!". I knew that something bad had happened. I tried listening to the conversation, but I couldn't hear. I wanted to know what was going on and what had happened. Then as soon as my mom said "Tavi no not Tavi" I had tears coming down my face. It felt like something was taken out of my life, something that kept my smile on all day. Since then I couldn't concentrate in school or at home. I had you in my mind for the past days and I feel like not doing anything anymore, as if all my energy has been drained out. I feel like I'm lost and now it feels like you've been gone forever. My path is now unfinished and dark and feels like I'll never find my place on earth again. If only you can come back home Tavi. My house is now full of tears everyday and I see no more smiles around me as if smiles never exhist. Me and the rest of the family will pray for you. I guess heaven has another angel and that angel is back home safe and sound. I know that from now on you will be watching over me and making sure I am safe. Tell grandma Lucila I said hi and I miss her.

from your little cousin,

Lourdes (Lulu)

Dear Lord, Thy will be done. For all the joy thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run, we'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may, And for the happiness we've known, will ever grateful stay. But shall the angels call for him much sooner then we planned, We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand!" GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY.

Tavi,

It's been awhile since we talked. I think the last time i saw you was before I left to the Marines. I have so many good, and fun memories with you and your family. I remember going to Ensenada and catching all the lil crabs at the beach with you. I remember when it was time to leave your house I would get mad because we were still playing . I even remember when you got Nentendo. You would show off because you knew how to get extra lives on the steps by hitting the lil turtles. I can't forget the time when we put the toothpick in the couch and told Lisa my sister to jump on the seat.. She jumped on and sat right on the toothpick. My mom had to pull it out. I'm sorry , that you had to leave so soon Tavi. I've heard that you became a Good Man, Husband, and Dad. We lost you here on earth. But you memories and life will live on forever with all of us. We will all love and will miss you Tavi. Love Santos J.r Duran

My Dearest Tavi,

It's hard to believe....when I heard you were gone, I thought it was only a dream. I waited for the phone to ring to tell us it had all been a mistake. I still remember when you were born, and the proud faces of your Mom and Dad when I visited them at the hospital. You grew to become such a wonderful Young man. I will always remember you on your wedding day. You were the pure image of happiness and life. I feel so proud of you for all you accomplished in your life. Today i was looking at your son's picture....in his eyes I see your smiling face. Know, that you will always live in him and that you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for being a part of our lives. I know that you are now watching over us from heaven and you will be saving our places there, with my Mom. God is lucky to have you as an angel now!!!

I love you very much,

Your crazy Tia, Lety

Cousin Tavi...We love you so much. Our lives and our hearts are aching so much because you are not with us anymore. Your strength and the strength of God is going to help our hearts to mend. You're our angel in heaven now...you'll be able to watch over all of us from up there. We'll watch over eachother down here...don't worry. :) We love you always.

p.s. I'll never ever forget the moment I had with you when I was younger...we were playing a swimming game at your uncle's house..."Colors," and I couldn't swim fast enough...you were swimming ahead of me, so I reached out to grab your foot and you pulled me into the "safe zone!" :) You saved me! I love you so much and you'll be in my heart forever.

Tavi,

We've practically known each other our entire lives. I remember playing against you in basketball and football at our elementary schools (Santa Rosa and St. Ferdinand's). We also played baseball together at Granada Hills LL. When I came to Fort Wayne we became good friends and hung out during high school. After that, we played softball together at Tahcumwah and Krieger. I was happy to see you get married to Jenny and have a son. I will truly miss you. I have lost a lifelong friend. To the wife and family of tavi,i cannot express how sorry i am for your loss i got to know tavi well in the short time he was here and i've never met anyone like him,he was an all around great guy and one heck of a ball player. My dad told me that to god a man was like a lump of coal and during his life god molds and shapes that coal trying to turn it into a diamond thus changing the man but when he gets the diamond perfect he takes it and keeps it with him tavi was a perfect diamond and i know he is in a better place and we will all see him again.
