Brenda Buchanan Taylor

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Brenda Buchanan Taylor, 59, of Gadsden, who passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017. The Rev. Jerry Tuck will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Mrs. Taylor was a native of California and resided most of her life in Northeast Alabama. She was a true believer and Christian. She was a LPN that practiced many years in Northeast Alabama. She loved her family and friends, she was a very loving and giving person.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ian Taylor; her parents: Robert and Evelynn Wilson and Letha Carol Ivy and brother, Leland K. Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter; Erica Buchanan, grandchildren: Emma Danielle Buchanan and Samuel Jones; sisters: Sylvia McKinley and Shawna Wilson; brothers: Kenny Wilson and Danny Sims and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Robert Bennett, Danny Highfill, Lonny Morse, Jerry Wells, Leslie Buchanan and Travis McKinley.
Special thanks to nurses and staff of Gadsden Regional Medical Center MICU and many that have aided and assisted during her illness.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at 2940 Warrior Valley Road, Altoona, AL. 35952.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
