Mr. Edward George 'Eddie' Grabowski, Sr. age 73, of Keystone Heights passed away suddenly Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Gainesville. He was born February 21, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Edward C. and Sophie (Szewczuk) Grabowski. Mr. Grabowski has been a resident of Keystone Heights for the past 43 years; he was also a parishioner of St. William Catholic Church and a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. Following his twenty-five year career with Roadway Express as a driver, he then taught truck driving courses at Bradford Vo-Tech for six years. He enjoyed competing in Florida Truck Driving Championships in which he won state championship several times. Playing tennis, volleyball, skiing, white water rafting and fishing are just some of the sports he enjoyed doing. Traveling, working hard, enjoying life and family were also great passions of his; he was always having fun and had a story to tell. Mr. Grabowski is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Linda (Sutter) Grabowski of Keystone Heights and their two children Eddie Grabowski, Jr. of Keystone Heights and Barbara Miller (James) of Knoxville, TN; two siblings Frank Grabowski (Maureen) of NC and Stephanie Morris (Walter) of AZ. Also left behind are two grandsons Coty Collins and Jackson Beggs along with several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 5-7 p.m. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Father Andrzej Mitera presiding. Interment will follow at a later date at the Keystone Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made too: L.A.M., P.O.
