COPELAND, LUSHON D., 39
Ms. Lushon D. Copeland 39, of Gainesville, Florida passed away on March 14, 2015.
She leaves to hold her loving smiles and warm hugs in the hearts of her 3 children, Malcom Pleas, Rodasha Web (Jehudi), Dontavious Copeland and Kennisha Woods, 5 grandchildren; mother, Jane Pugh; father, Jerry Parker; grandfather Jim Parker.
The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Lushon D. Copeland will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 11:00 a.m. at the Female Protective Temple (12610 NW 39th Ave.) Gainesville, FL 32606 . Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Archer, Florida. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Services are under the Direction of Carnegie Funeral Home 217 SE 4th Ave. Chiefland, Florida.

Not a day goes by that your not on my mind god knows I wish you were here the pain still hurts me to this day I really never even knew nuttin about this guest book it's my first time seeing this it feels good seeing all the love you have from ppl you were such a wonderful amazing strong good fearing person i miss you so much I find my times lost sometimes cause I was such a Mama's boy lol always calling you for advice missing the dance offs or the Sunday meals omg the sun meals it's crazy that's the only time you gone see the family together it ain't been the same I'm gone do my part and be the backbone of the family and make u proud be the man u always could be proud of you are truly missed and never be forgotten I love you sooooo much it hurts but I know your here with me watching over me every day

I met Lushon back in 2005 or 2006, I was picking a friend up, and she was going the same way, so she hopped in and joked me about how I drive. On that day, I found a friend, we clicked and kept in touch. I would see her from time to time always working and being her best. We would call each other from time to time and have deep conversations about life, relationships, and whatever else going on back then in both our lives. She supportive my MK business and loved a particular perfume. She ordered from me and I would mail it to her in GA or deliver it right here in Gainesville. She was smart, determined, a go getter, with a great personality. I had no idea she was in a battle and it explains why many years later, we lost touch, and I stopped bumping into her. Even now, I think of her often, I think of her family, and I pray that they were and are still able to move forward with the knowledge she wasn't just a good woman, she was a GREAT WOMAN, with a pure heart, and that is hard to find. Rest in Paradise my Friend. My prayers are with her family, today, tomorrow, and always. God Bless.

I've never met someone who was ALWAYS the same from sugarhill days to the last time I saw her,but Shon was smiling,happy, being friendly EVERY time I saw her, never knowing what she was going through. What a peace she must have had to smile through the pain & illness. That's a peace that only GOD gives His children!!! Rest in Heaven Shon.
