Eddie Cisney Obituary
April 29, 1946 - March 8, 2015
Ed Cisney, age 68, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
He was born to Larry and Toots Cisney on April 29, 1946 in Fruita, Colorado. He was raised in Fruita and graduated from Fruita Union High School in 1964. He enlisted in the US Navy shortly after graduation and was a Vietnam Veteran. He traveled to many different countries throughout the world during his time in the Navy.
Ed was employed for many years in the banking industry including United Banks in Grand Junction during the 1970's and 1980's. He recently retired from Advantage Network Services.
Ed and Sheryl Meek were married on December 28, 1991. They lived in Nebraska and spent the past 20 years living in the Grand Junction area. Ed had a vast knowledge of everything from sports to geography to history which always made for good conversation.
Ed is survived by his wife, Sheryl; his son, Marcus of Phoenix, and daughter, Danielle of Omaha; his step-children, Devin Meek, Les Meek and Alex (Kate) Meek; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His in-laws, Sid and Gloria Breese and Richard and Paulette Marchant. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Sharon Hitchborn Buller.
Military services will be held at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado on Friday, March 13th at 3:00 p.m.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Wounded Warriors Foundation.

I worked with Ed for over 8 years at ANS. Such a wonderful person to work with. Ed always had time to help any one. I saw him a couple of times after I left ANS and will miss him.
