Dorothy Pell Obituary

PELL - Beloved mother and loving wife, Mrs. Dorothy Pell, aged 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Pell; parents, Henry and Gertrude Kornoelje; brothers, Don, Ivan, Henry and William Kornoelje; sisters, Kay DeWeerd and Edna Peterson; granddaughter, Amber Pell. Surviving are her sons, Donald (Janet) Pell, Paul (Susan) Pell, Tom (Ruth) Pell, Larry (Nancy) Pell; grandchildren, Nancy (David) Goldie, Kevin (Jamie) Pell, Staci (Matt) Perkins, Jennifer Clark, Jason Pell, Erick (Tiffany) Pell, Keith (Lena) Pell; seven great grand-children; brother, Gerald (Betty) Kornoelje. Dorothy was born and grew up in Grand Rapids. She lived in the Spring Lake and Grand Haven Area for many years where she raised her family and worked with her husband in the shoe repair business. She and her husband were also involved in various ministries associated with the Grand Haven Gospel Hall and other church fellowships in Michigan and later on in Florida where they spent their winter months. Dorothy was given to hospitality, sharing her home with family and friends. In recent years she resided at the Rest Haven Home in Grand Rapids. A memorial service will be held at Rest Haven Home, 1424 Union Ave. NE on Monday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Georgetown Township Cemetery.
