XENIA - Bobby Joe Jordan, 68, husband of Eleanore "Dee" Jordan, died from cancer on June 21, 2015. Born to Charles R. Jordan, Jr. and Mary Alice Centers Jordan on October 7, 1946 in Oak Ridge, TN, he was raised in Bell County, KY, and Greene County, OH. After graduating Xenia High School, Xenia, OH in 1964, he served our nation in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed a career as a loan and finance officer. Following retirement from F&S Harley-Davidson in Dayton, OH, he and his wife moved to Wolfe County, KY, where they were developing a small horse farm.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Justin. Along with his wife, survivors include his daughter Maria Jordan of Beavercreek, OH and step-daughters Kathy Smith (Michael) of Germantown, OH and Debra Hilen of Brooksville, OH; brothers Larry (Regina) Jordan of Apollo Beach, FL, and Michael Jordan of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Teresa Jordan (John Schiffel) of Durango, CO, Altha Galliger (Patrick) of Xenia, Ohio, and Mylinda Schwimmoeler (Carl) of Columbus Grove, OH; aunts Oma Kimbro of Oak Ridge, TN, Otha "Jody" Wallace of Xenia, OH, Wiltha "Fay" Beard of Sabina, OH, and Pauline Ulrich of Lima, OH; an uncle Charles Shepherd of Union, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, June 26, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com.
