James Lever Obituary

James "Jim" P. Lever, 63, died Thursday, July 27, 2007, at the Medical University of S.C. in Charleston, S.C.

He was born in Greenville, S.C., the son of the late James Herbert and Margaret McCollum Lever.

Jim was a graduate of Daniel High School and Clemson University.

He is survived by his wife, Leigh L. Lever; his five children, Sarah L. Long and husband Hal, Meg L. Campbell and husband Masters, Jim P. Lever and wife Mira, R. Elvington Lever, and Boyd B. Lever; six grandchildren, Daniel Castles, Austin Castles, Jordan Booth, Jamie Lever, Alex Long, and Kelly Long, and niece Laura Anderson; his sister, Sally Davitt, and husband Mike; and two brothers, David Lever and wife Gaile, and Charles "Mac" Lever.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2007, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach, with Rev. Ken Timmerman officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the charity of one's choice.
