Tony, thank you for sharing my Dad's memories.
And, thank you for being a good friend to him.

I was going through my files just last week and came upon the video I made for Don showing the time he was on stage with Bob Hope at a USO show in Europe. He was a "one of a kind" guy and we miss his smile and determination.

It was such a pleasure to know Donald and hear of his stories of travel. Donald went to one of the places I lived at and he enjoyed sharing that with me.

Serving as Chaplain, I got to know Don. He was a great talker and such interesting conversations. I learned so much more from reading his obituary. I will continue to keep the family in my prayers.

To Betsy, Jodie, Stephen and Danny, we are sending our condolences. Your dad left an indelible impression on all of us in different ways. We have so many happy memories of living next door to you all those years ago. Hope you all find comfort in good memories of your father and your mother. We are thinking of you.

I had the privilege of knowing Don over the past two years and serving as his Chaplain at Maria Manor. The stories he could tell and his determination for a full life will always be an inspiration to all who knew him.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to Don's family. I worked for Don in the 1970's, and remained friends with him for most of his life since then, staying in contact through phone calls and letters. I have many fond memories of our times together as colleagues and friends, as well as wonderful memories of time spend with him and his family. He was a complicated man, who at his best, was warm, loving, funny, and generous. A consummate salesman, he cared deeply for his customers, who liked and respected him as well. I will always cherish the good times we shared.
