Sandra R. HODGKINS

HODGKINS, Sandra R. (Platash) Sandra R. (Platash) Hodgkins, 64, of Kensington, loving wife of Harvey-Joe Hodgkins, died Tuesday evening at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Michael and the late Jean (Pienkos) Platash, she graduated from New Britain High School in 1963, was employed at Stanley-Svea before retiring from New Britain Machine Company, and was a member of St. Paul Church. A loving mother and grandmother, in addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Chris Davis of Monroe, and Jennifer and David Iacino of Barkhamsted, a sister, Gloria Cliff of Southington, six grandchildren, Jeremy, Noah, Colin, Gianna, Lauren, and Erin, and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday at 10am DIRECTLY at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling Street, Kensington. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington, on Friday from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park Road, Suite 105, Middletown, CT 06457.
