DOROTHY COPLEY

DOROTHY COPLEY, 81, of Fort Gay, entered the gates of her Heavenly home on Friday, March 21, 2014. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Birdie Copley; parents, Jay and Maggie Waller Williamson; daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Arvel Endicott; two sisters, Goldie Walker and Oretha Marcum; three brothers, Lacy, Jennings and Wayne Williamson. Loved ones left behind are daughters and caregivers, Patty and Buck Spears of Fort Gay, Gracie and (Will Collins) Parsley of Kermit, W.Va.; Sons, Grover and Sara Copley of Fort Gay, and Jennings and Sara Copley of Crum; Grandchildren, Caregiver Lisa Methax, Renae Blackburn, Katie Copley, Tracy Copley, Robbie Spears, Lacy Spears, Shawn Copley, Birdie Dale Collins, Jen Allen Copley, Jacob Copley; Great-Grandchildren, Mackenzie Methax, Joshua Methax, Lea Blackburn, Cole Blackburn and Shelby Pack; three brothers, Lelon and Louise Williamson of Crum, Gid and Martha Williamson of Grove City, Ohio, and Grover and Kathy Williamson of Naples, Fla.; two brothers-in-law, Oscar and Martha Copley of Crum, Sonny and Barbara Copley of Fort Gay; Sisters-in-law, Bertha Stroud and Rosie Brewer of Kermit, W.Va.; very special friend, Pastor Dick Maynard; several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; and her friends. Dorothy was a member of the Saltpetre Christian Baptist Church and owner/operator of Copley's Truck Stop for many years. Dorothy will be missed very badly by her children, grandchildren and other family members. Care has been entrusted to Young Funeral Home of Louisa, Ky. Visitation will be at the Saltpetre Christian Baptist Church on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church with pastor Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will be in the Birdie Copley Cemetery, Fort Gay. The family wishes to thank everyone for the prayers most of all, and the food, flowers and comforting words, and the visits from everyone.
