William Polston Obituary

DENISON – William "Bill" Preston Polston, age 74, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Polston was born July 2, 1942 in Hugo, Oklahoma the son of William Earl and Mina Jo (Lebo) Polston. Bill attended Denison Schools and joined the railroad. He worked as a switchman for over 35 years starting with Katy Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad once they merged. He enjoyed ranching working with cows and ostriches. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Bill is survived by his wife; Edith Polston; daughter, Lisa Polston-Herrin and husband Jay; sons, Steve Polston and William Kelly Polston all of Denison; grandchildren, Candice Herrin-Clayton and husband Johnny of Anna, Preston Kelly Polston in AFB Korea, Ashley Wiginton and husband Bryan of Silo, OK; great-grandchildren, Henry and Oliver Clayton; brother Charlie Polston; step daughters, Lisa Donahue, Peggy Denton, Julie Ossola and 15 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Hazel Polston and grandson, Dylan Herrin.

Family visitation will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Fisher Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will have private services to follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home located at 604 W. Main St. in Denison.
