Hilary Meyerle Obituary

Hilary A. Meyerle&bb&Hilary A. Meyerle, formerly of Bothell, died October 16, 2000.&pe&He was born January 6, 1917 while his parents, John and Madge McFadden Meyerle were residing in Winnipeg, Canada. The family returned to Holbrook, Nebraska where he spent his childhood. He graduated from Doane College in Beatrice, Neb. and the University of Nebraska Law School. Hilary was very proud of his Nebraska heritage. He served as a Master Sergeant in the Army Medical Corps during WWII. Following the war, he joined Safeco Insurance Company from which he retired as an assistant vice president in 1982. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, fishing and gardening. Hilary married his college sweetheart, Helen Pilger, and they shared 49 years together until Helen's death in 1990. &pe&He is survived by his son, Michael Meyerle and his wife Marjorie of Franktown, Colorado; and his daughter, Mary Kelly and her husband Bob of Snohomish. He is also survived by five grandsons of whom he was very proud: Jon, Gerald and James Meyerle and Sean and Ryan Kelly. His close friend, Janet Nims, was a constant support in his later years. &pe&A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2000 at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10010 NE 192nd St., Bothell, WA.&pe&Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Washington or to St. Brendan's Pipe Organ Fund.&pe&Arrangements by Bothell Funeral Home, 425-486-1281.
