Richard True Obituary
Richard F. True
Richard is survived by his wife, Marlea; his daughters, Julie Watkins, of Olympia, WA, and Jennifer True, of Port Orchard, WA; step-daughters, Nadia (Terry) Quiram, of Virginia, and Megan Norton, of Federal Way, WA; granddaughter, Haley Watkins; and step-grandchildren, Andrew Butterfield and Clarissa Highley.
After serving in the Navy, Richard received his B.S. degree at University of Colorado in 1965 and his M.S. degree at San Diego State University in 1975. He grew up in Denver, CO and spent several years in San Diego, CA before settling in the Northwest in the late seventies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, boating, camping, hunting and traveling. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Providence Medical Center for all they did for him.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
A memorial gathering for Richard will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., at his home on Sunday, October, 18, 2009.

Mr. True towed my car from Bellingham and let me rebuild my car engine in his garage while I dated his daughter in college. I still think about his kindness even to this day. God bless you.

Auntie Cookie,
I will miss sneaking up on him in the computer room and hearing his big laugh, salmon bbqs, and him asking mom "how is the apple tree and where is the apple pie?" he was good to all of us and especially to you, he is gonna be missed greatly and we were all lucky to have had him in our family!

Marlea,
Dick will be greatly missed by me! I enjoyed our many conversations on the phone and in my office. Even though our relationship developed at a business level, our conversations were often about his family, fishing, and the future. It has been a privilege to know Dick, and I will miss him a lot.
