Faye M. Bean

HICKORY - Faye M. Bean, 81, of Hickory, passed away Friday, May 22, 2009, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born May 17, 1928, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Laura Mae Lawing and Marvin Frank McGinnis. She was a member of West Hickory Baptist Church and retired from Shuford Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifford Bean. Mrs. Bean is survived by a son, Danny K. Bean and wife, Judy, of Hickory; four brothers, Arthur, Jim, Reid and Gary McGinnis, all of Stanley; two sisters, Katherine Lewis of Hickory and Ruby Fisher of Stanley; grandchildren, Danny James Bean of Statesville and Michelle White of Hickory; and great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Taylor and Melissa Bean, all of Statesville, and Annecy and Hayleigh White, both of Hickory. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2009, at West Hickory Baptist Church, with Pastor Scott Frady officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to West Hickory Baptist Church, 40 12th St., NW, Hickory, N.C. 28601.
