James M. Wilson

CONOVER - James Madison Wilson, 65, of Conover, passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Valdese Hospital. Born Feb. 4, 1943, in Anniston, Ala., he was the son of the late James Ware Wilson and Virginia McKinley Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a Mason and had a special love of music. He is survived by two sons, Jamie Wilson and wife, Nona, of Asheville and Bill Wilson and wife, Detria, of Claremont; three daughters, Paige Stout and husband, Phil, of Fletcher, Patti Bissell and husband, Steve, of Winston-Salem and Cathy Wilson of Hudson; special friend, Dessie Allman of Claremont; eight grandchildren, Joshua Wilson, Will Wilson, Noah Bissell, Whitney Lipe, Katlyn Lipe, Jordan Wilson, Heather Bissell and Madison Stout; and two sisters, Libby Brakefield of Jasper, Ala., and Lou Wilson of Anniston, Ala. A graveside service with entombment will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, in Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory, with Chaplain David Turbeville officiating.
