Clara Walters Obituary

CLARA WALTERS December 30, 1916 - February 4, 2002 Clara was born to Conway and Tressie McCaghren on December 30, 1916 in Polk County, Texas. Clara passed away in Conroe, Texas after an extended illness. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church most of her life. Clara was preceded in death last August by her husband of 67 years, Elbert Walters. Also preceding her were her boys Cline and A.M. Clara leaves her children; Larry and Mary Ann Walters of Livingston, their children Scott and Caryn; Sue and Harold Borup of Alvin, her children Charles, Lanna and Wendy; Diane Young of Mobile, Alabama, her children Dana, Keith and Cary; Llewel and Sherry Walters of Kingwood, their children Russ and Kami; Galen and Mikki Walters of Conroe, their children Amber and Molly. Daughter-in-law Florence Fritz, her children Pamela and Angela. Clara leaves her sister Oma Grace and brother-in-law Ed Collins of Livingston. She also leaves three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Ollie and Joe Lawrence, Eloise Zimmerman, and Lunell and John Stephens all of Polk County, Texas. Church Street 11:00 a.m. Reverend Randy Ensey, Montgomery, Texas, and Reverend Ron Macey, Houston, Texas officiating. Burial: Forest Hill Cemetery Livingston, Texas

Although I can't attend the funeral of Sis. Walters, you are all in my prayers at this time. She was the kind of Christian woman that we all strive to be. Many little girls grew up knowing how to work in the church by watching her example. She will be greatly missed. God Bless, Gay
