1948-2016
Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Carter passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at the age of 67 years. She was born on February 9, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, to Carl Hamilton Rawls and Marie Walker Rawls. In August of 1990, she married Bill Gronvold in Fulshear, Texas. She founded Liz Carter & Team Realty and has been an icon in the real estate industry since 1976.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bill Gronvold; sister, Sandra Parker; nieces, Regina Murray, Sandie Acord, and Keisha Dunn; and her nephew, Steven Murray. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Marie Rawls.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Schmidt Funeral Home on Grand Parkway, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016, with Chaplain Gary Butler officiating, with a reception to follow from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Jasper, Texas.
