Toni Cano Obituary
1943-2018
Our community lost an inspiration on August 23, 2018, when Mrs. Antonia Cano, fondly known as Toni, passed peacefully surrounded by family.
Born August 27, 1943, she was just shy of her 75th birthday. Toni and her family moved from San Benito, TX to Harlingen, TX where she graduated high school and most importantly, met her husband of 52 years, David Cano.
After marriage, the couple eventually settled in Houston and started their family. Toni had a love for her family that was truly insurmountable. Her daughter Sylvia Cano, and grandsons Rick, Nicholas, and Carlos were undeniably her treasures. Toni was a beloved teacher at the Wilhelm School for 22 years, and made a lasting impression on many of the students she taught through the years. Later in life, she decided to change careers, but knew in her heart that her passion lay in helping others so it seemed the natural course to switch to the medical field.
Toni eventually joined Bellaire Dermatology. She became a vital part of the team and was a pillar of the practice for 19 years. Both staff and patients alike associated her with laughter, honesty, and an unending love. Her knack for developing life long friendships and encouraging those around her to be their very best selves was, frankly, her super power. Though her trademark hugs and characteristic laugh will be missed, her legacy of kindness, warmth, fun, and seeing the very best in people will live on.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 07, 2018, 2PM-5PM @ Bellaire Dermatology, 6565 West Loop South, Bellaire, TX 77401, ste. 800.

I just learned of Toni's passing. I'm in shock and unbelievably sad. She was wonderful at her job....but more importantly she was a good friend and wonderful person. I will miss her!

I just learned of Toni's passing and I was so surprised and sorry. Toni always made everyone so happy to see her, and she brought out the best in us! Her smile and hugs will be greatly missed. Eternal rest grant to her, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.
