Don & I started First Grade together at Homedale Grade School. Before the year was over, they moved to California. When they moved back...he was 1 year ahead of all of us!!! We remained friends thru high school & corresponded during his military service. I was thrilled when I learned he'd accepted Christ as his Saviour. May God give you peace & comfort as you go thru these weeks & months of realizing that he's no longer here on earth, but in his Heavenly home. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

News about Brother Bowman’s sickness and death was received with deep sadness. The death of the saints is reason for rejoicing in Heaven, on earth; death leaves a feeling of great sorrow. My first memories of Bro. Bowman take me back to my childhood, in one of the first campmeetings in the field of Mexico, where he came to preach. The dedication of this great servant of God as he preached filled my young heart. He preached holiness in a way that a child could understand it. His ability to preach with an interpreter was one of the things that marked my mind as a child. Even as a child, I always knew with a doubt that this was a holy man of God. I never imagined that some day I would have the opportunity to work under his leadership, which I consider a high honor. After dealing about many things that concerned the Mexican Field it always left a fragrance of the presence of God within him.
As myself, there are many on the field who will remember this man for being a man full of the glory of God. Today we say farewell, but hope to see him soon in glory without the language and cultural barriers. In Mexico, his memory will always be loved. We join the sadness that overcomes his faithful companion and his children. May God bless and comfort you.
With love and admiration,

I have known Don Bowman and his family my whole life. He was always so kind every time I saw him. He lived a life that showed he loved Jesus and others.
Praying for the family today that they will feel Jesus close by.

Don Bowman was a man who was totally surrendered to the whole will of God and dedicated to the service of the Lord
