Barbara Heavilin Obituary

Barbara Anne Davis Heavilin 90, of Richmond, formerly of Indianapolis, Hendricks County, and Carson & Barnes Circus, died June 27, 2007, at Reid Hospital. Born May 30, 1917, in Grant County, Ind., graduated in 1935 from Upland High School and attended Butler University. Survivors include her husband, George E.; sons, Glen W. (Marilyn) of Whiting, N.J., George R. (Catherine) of Beech Grove, Ind., David F of Panama City, Florida, and Albert J of Kettering, Ohio; daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Barker (Lawrence) of Wilmington, Ohio, Jane A. Black (William) of Martinsville, Ind.. and Ruth E. Blair (David) of Carlisle, Ky.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Bailey of Sheridan, Ind.; numerous nieces and nephews. Extended family, Jackie Sawyer (Stan) of Peru, Ind., Robert Heavilin Jr. (Linda) of Richmond and Patti Jo Heavilin of Columbus, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen A and Edna Littrick Davis; two brothers, Rex, Richard E. Davis; and four grandsons. A memorial service will be at West Richmond Friends Meeting, 609 W. Main St., Richmond, at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007. Doan & Mills Funeral Home, Richmond, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Richmond Friends School, 609 W.
