Debra Mizerik Obituary
Born on November 26, 1955, in Jackson to Carl (Lew) and Patricia Channell, Deb graduated from Michigan Center High School. She met the love of her life, Larry Mizerik, while working at Montgomery Ward. They married on August 9, 1975, and shared more than 44 wonderful years together.
Deb devoted her life to her family. After working as an administrative assistant at Aeroquip Corporation, she embraced her most cherished role as a homemaker. A gracious hostess with a gift for bringing people together, Deb's home was the heart of countless gatherings. She found joy in gardening, traveling, and volunteering, including teaching religious education at Queen's Catholic Church.
Deb will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her kindness, quick wit, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome.
She is survived by her children, Lindsay (David) Tebo of Holland, Michigan; Steve (Kelly) Mizerik of Horton, Michigan; and Lauren (Paul) Boynton of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her six cherished grandchildren, Brady, Eva, Luke, Lucy, Joel, and Vivianna; her siblings, Bob Channell and Wendy Vandenburgh; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends.
Deb was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents, Lew and Pat Channell; her parents-in-law, Paul and Eva Mizerik; and her beloved nieces and nephew, Melissa, Bailey, and Eric.
In accordance with Deb's wishes, contributions may be made to AWARE Shelter or Hospice House of Jackson in her honor instead of having a public memorial service. The family will be making private burial plans at a later date.

We had the pleasure to know Debbie for many years. I will never forget the wonderful times we spent on Farwell Lake with her and Larry judging the kids diving contests. Larry and Debbie always welcomed everyone into their home. We will always cherish those memories. Blessings to the entire family.
