Amy Siewert Obituary

Siewert, Amy Found peace on Thursday morning, March 10, 2016, while at home surrounded by her loved ones. Amy was the loving wife of Todd and proud mother of her son, Jake. She will also be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law, Lauren; her father, Donald Letter; and her siblings, Susan (Tom) Ley, Margery Binder, Laurie Letter and Mark (Laura) Letter. Amy was also joyfully reunited in passing with her mother, Carol. Amy was the Editor-in-Chief of M Magazine and worked at the publication for nearly 20 years. She was a driven Ironman finisher, marathoner, life coach, Cigar Babe member, birding fanatic and animal lover. Amy adored nature and found immense comfort in the woods behind her home. She strove to be of service to others and was a great contributor to the community through M Magazine and Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin. She impacted an incredible amount of lives and will be greatly missed by her friends and the community. An open house celebrating Amy's life will take place on Saturday, March 19, at the Siewert home. Friends and family are welcome to visit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to gather and share stories of Amy with others. The family would also like to extend its gratitude to the outstanding team of oncologists and medical staff at Froedtert Hospital and the incredible home hospice care provided by Home Care Medical. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin would be appreciated. Donations in Amy's name can be made to Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin, 2025 W. A wonderful friend, days spent playing hopscotch and running in the leaves in your front yard, you are missed.

I am so sorry for your loss Todd. I only met Amy once or twice and she was a lovely person. She had such a kind spirit. She fought long and hard so she was definitely a fighter. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May you find peace in all your memories.

Blessings,
Shelli (Dan's Gym)

Todd,

In the short time I have known you, you have always been an example of determinatiion and striving to always be better. This has been a tremendous help for me and other gym members.. I can only believe Amy and your son felt that same strength from you and the will to not give up.

Benno and I are gravely sorry for your loss. We consider you a friend. Please know we are here, with you.

Prayerfully,

Suzanne & Benno Weigel

Amy was a terrific editor and the reason current interior design is promoted and shown in Milwaukee. Her personality easily came across in her magazine work, and it was my privilege to work with her professionally. My condolences to the family during this time. What a wonderful life she lead! Amy will be missed dearly and by many. Michael John Weber

I met Amy through my cousins wife who was one of her best friends. I l;looked forward to seeing her and Todd every year at the Wacker Christmas party. What a small world that we should meet with both Todd and I dealing with the same straggles. My heart goes out to you as she was an incredible lady.
