Greta and family...I was saddened to learn of Mr. Hauer's passing today from Greta in one of frequent telephone calls. I have always enjoyed it when we have spoken, and particularly once when Greta allowed me to visit with "her Marine" for a while as she made her telephone rounds. Semper Fi! May God grant each of you the peace of his love and understanding. You are all in our prayers this week at Easter Mass.

Chuck (Chuckles) and I have known each other for over 20 years. Chuck, Bob and I along with the wife’s always had a good time when we went to VFW convention along with going out to dinner.
I will miss Chuck very much in the time we talk over the phone and along with the meetings. We always had a good relationship even when difficult times arose.
Chuck was my Senior Vice District Commander in 1991-92 and without him I would not have rose to All State or All American Commander.

I will miss Chuck very much.
