Overland Paark, Kansas - We are saddened by the loss of our beloved mother, Nancy With, who passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Eugenia Shaw and by her husband of 58 years, the Rev. David With, who passed away in June, 2021 at the age of 83. Nancy is survived by her three children and spouses, Randal and Roberta With, Thomas and Jill With and Jeannie and Mike Haight as well as her 5 Grandchildren – Daniel, Thomas, Lindsay, Matthew, and Lauren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren anytime she could.
Nancy was born July 10, 1938 in Oak Park, Illinois. She grew up in Oconomowoc, WI where she graduated from Oconomowoc High School. She went on to attend Carroll University in Waukesha, WI where she graduated in 1960 with BA in Education. After working briefly as a teacher, she met her future husband, Rev. David With, and married him in Minneapolis, MN on March 31st, 1964. Following her marriage, she raised her three children as a loving mother and family manager. Nancy had passions for tennis, playing the piano, community service and a very strong passion for gardening. Over the years at Lake Quivira she transformed the entire back yard into an English style garden. She also loved to travel and spent the later third of her life travelling each summer around Europe with her husband David. She was particularly fond of spending time in the religious commune of Taizé, in Eastern France. In the winter, she and David would spend the coldest months at their condo in Florida. Nancy shared her husband's deep faith and service to others. Her love of life and of the goodness in all people were the cornerstones of her relationship with the world. Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 6630 Nall Ave., Mission, KS 66202 on Saturday, December 11th at 2 p.m. Memorials in her memory can be made to the church.
