Ruth Stone Obituary
Born in Auburn, Ind., Ruth was a 1940 graduate of Auburn High School and worked as an assembler with General Electric for 10 years.
She was a member of First Christian Church South and Fort Wayne Chapter No. 432 OES.
Her hobbies included playing cards and fishing.
Surviving are her son, Michael A. Stone of Fort Wayne; a stepson, Bruce Stone Jr.; a stepgranddaughter and two stepgrandsons.
Ruth was preceded in death by husband, B. Bruce Stone; her parents, James L. and Meta E. (Welch) Fredrick; a sister, Katherine E. Bosell; and brother, Lyle Fredrick.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road with calling one hour prior, the Rev. Julie Western officiating.
Calling also Sunday, March 30, 2014, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.
Entombment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or First Christian Church South.
