Lucille Regan Obituary
Passed away on August 12, 2003, after a long illness. Born May 26, 1909, she was the widow of Joseph Regan who died in 1981. Beloved mother of Joe, Michael, Dennis, Terry Regan and Jurhee Fitzgibbons, grandmother of fourteen, great-grandmother of thirty-eight. "The girl with the smile is always the girl worthwhile." Known for her generosity, her spirit of life and strong religious convictions. She was loved by multitudes of friends and relatives. Long time active parishioner of Mary Star of the Sea Church, San Pedro, CA, and generous benefactor to Loyola Marymount University, Marymount Junior College, and Immaculate Heart Retreat Home in Los Angeles. A Rosary will be recited at Mary Star of the Sea Church at 8:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass will be offered Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Mary Star of the Sea Church, 877 W. 7th St., San Pedro, with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family requests that in lieu of flowers charitable donations be made to the Lucille Eyraud Regan Scholarship Fund, Marymount College Palos Verdes, 30800 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
