Cornelis Williams Obituary
Cornelis Richards Williams, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident to Long Beach, California transitioned to eternal life on August, 23, 2016.
She is survived by her only child, Bertrand A. Williams, Jr. (Rosalind Elaine); her granddaughters, Kaci and Kori Williams; her goddaughters, Karen (Santiago) Compass, and Lesli (the late Danny) Williams. She is also survived by her siblings, Maxine R. Johnson, Rosalyn (Warren) Bell Delpit and Navarre L. Bell; her nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Mc Kenzie Funeral Home, 3843 Anaheim St., Long Beach, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on September 3, 2016 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 5195 Stearns St., Long Beach, CA, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in her name to the scholarship fund of Our Lady of Refuge at the above address, or to a charity of your choice. The memories of my cousin, Cornelis, are strong and vibrant, just as she was a strong, vibrant, funny and loving woman. Although we live so far apart, nothing can diminish the love of family. We, the Miles Family, will be there to support you, love you, cry with you, laugh with you and share memories of a life well-lived, but still over too soon.
