Florence Cook Obituary

Florence A. Cook, 87, of New Bethlehem, died Friday, January 6, 2017, at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Born January 14, 1929, in Kingsville, she was the daughter of Archie and Venna (Yeaney) Neill.

Ms. Cook was a Christian by faith and a homemaker. She liked to work in her garden and enjoyed watching soap operas.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Bish of Mayport and Brenda Shaffer of New Bethlehem; two sons, DeWayne Cook of Newnan, Ga. and Barry Cook of Basel, Switzerland; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Fowler of Austintown, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Della Morrison and Mary Burford Ferringer; and a great-grandson, Jonah Sovik.

Arrangements are at the direction of the Furlong Funeral Home in Summerville.
