Gerry L. Hightower December 23, 1960- September 2, 2006 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Gerry L. Hightower, 45, of 957 - 32nd Ave., Columbus, GA. died Saturday, September 2, 2006 in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Sept. 9, 2006 at New Central Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Columbus, GA. Rev. Isaiah Sumbry will officiate. Visitation is today, September 9, 2006 from 9 until 10 a.m., according to Taylor Funeral Home. Mr. Hightower was born December 23, 1960 to Bernice Pearson of Columbus, GA. and the late Robert Green. He worked for Harvey Lumber Company in Columbus, GA. He was a member of New Central Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Hightower, Columbus, GA.; mother, Bernice Pearson, Columbus, GA.; step father, George Harris, Columbus, GA.; two sons, Gerry Hightower, Jr., Brady Hightower, Columbus, GA.; two daughters, Tyeisha Hightower, Columbus, GA., Natasha Jenning, Montgomery, AL.; one brother, Stanley (Lelia) Green, Valley, AL.; two sisters, Lynn (Calvin) Atkinson, Valley, AL., Cynthia (Lucius) Thomas, South Carolina.
